We weave our Catholic faith into the classroom instruction every day. Students attend Mass every Wednesday, with one class presenting each week.
We have an All School Rosary and Stations of the Cross for all grades several times a year.
Adoration is done as an all school event twice a year. Grades 4-8 attend Adoration at least once a month throughout the school year.
We have a "Victory Value Service Day" every October. All grades participate in service for our local community. Every class also does several service projects thoughout the year, as well as go out into the greater community for grades 3-8.
Our Lady of Victory follows the Archdiocese of Detroit standards. All grades are vertically aligned to ensure all standards are met. Click here to view our Curriculum page.
Latchkey is offered to K-8 students only. Registration is in the spring; filling it out on enrollment does not guarantee a spot. Morning latchkey starts at 7AM; afternoon latchkey ends at 6PM. It must be used at least three times a month; may not be utilized as a "drop in" service. Preschool and Young 5s are not eligible for latchkey.
We have an all school House system; there are 10 Houses that include students in PK-8, teachers, administrators, and parish staff. We meet regularly in houses to build our community. Members stay in the same house for the duration of their time at OLV.
We take the Renaissance STAR Testing three times a year. Our Lady of Victory performs well above the national average.
Hot lunch is provided by Northville Public Schools; orders are placed once a month. Milk is ordered at the beginning of the year for the entire school year.
Each family is responsible for volunteering for 4 recess shifts per year. The shift is from 11:25am-1:00pm, and any adult in the family can volunteer. Parents can also volunteer for class field trips or parties.
All adults that volunteer (recess, field trips, etc.) must have completed a background check and Protecting God's Children through VIRTUSonline.org.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and the Dads' Club. We also have the School Advisory Committee (SAC); parents are chosen to be part of the committee.
