Kindergarteners learn about creation, how God made us, and how to love others like Jesus. They participate in daily prayer and learn the Hail Mary and Our Father prayers. There is daily religion instruction using the Blest Are We: Faith in Action curriculum and Pflaum Gospel Weeklies - Promise. Kindergarten students attend Mass each Wednesday starting in Advent and on Holy Days with the whole school.

We use the Sadlier Math series, updated for 2021. Students work on sorting, identifying, writing, and comparing numbers up to 100, basic addition and subtraction, geometric shapes, fraction foundations, time, and money.

Using Mystery Science, Scholastic’s Science Spin K1, and Scholastic’s Let’s Find Out, students investigate the world around them as scientists and community members. In science, kindergarten students learn about weather, living vs. nonliving things, trees, states of water, light, animals, plants, and earth science. Social studies is integrated into the language arts curriculum and focuses on school rules, community helpers, economics, historical figures, and map studies.

Through Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's Into Reading program and using elements from Brainspring’s Phonics First program, our literacy program includes rhyming, phonics, phonemic awareness, and letter formation through whole-group and small-group instruction as well as center activities. We follow the Archdiocese of Detroit standards for grade-appropriate reading and writing activities.

We use Sadlier’s We Believe program. In first grade, students learn of God’s love for them through stories of Jesus. They are introduced to the sacraments and different saints, and they learn about different Gospel stories and virtues. First graders participate in daily prayer, review the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and Rosary, and attend weekly Mass. They host the school Masses towards the end of the year.

For materials, second graders use Scholastic’s Science Spin in conjunction with FOSS, a hands-on inquiry-based curriculum, taking a deeper look into science topics and using the scientific method. We follow the Next Generation Science Standards through the guidance of the Archdiocese of Detroit to integrate critical thinking skills with Catholic identity. Students learn about animals and biodiversity, ecosystems, solids & liquids, and matter, among other topics.

Second-grade students follow the Archdiocese of Detroit standards for social studies with a combination of Savvas' myWorld: We Do Our Part and cross-curricular connections with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Into Reading. They also use Scholastic News to help students learn about history, communities, maps, landforms, and government.
